Our Communications Executive Clare has been asking everyone in the office which Lifewords resource is their favourite and why. It was clear straight away that the Little Book series is particularly popular among the team; Wing, Sarah and Clare share which Little Book is most important to them.
Wing – Little Book of Prayer

Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
Psalm 127:1 (NIV)
Without God’s involvement, everything we have done is in vain. I believe praying is the way to invite God to work with us, to offer ourselves to God and to give back the ownership to God. Therefore, to me, prayer is important.
From what is prayer to how to pray and what to pray, Little Book of Prayer thoroughly explores prayer in both a deep and a very practical way. It's a great tool to give to someone who is learning to pray, or who would like to learn more about prayer. That's why this little booklet is my favourite among all of Lifewords’ Bible resources.
Sarah – Little Book of Joy

We all have those books we carry in our hearts, and for me, that’s Little Book of Joy. It’s small enough to slip into a pocket, but what it carries inside is huge: a reminder of the hope we have in Jesus and that joy is never out of reach.
I love how it breaks joy down into simple but powerful verses – finding wonder in creation, holding on to joy that sustains us in hard times, and of course, the deep, unshakable joy that comes from Jesus. Every page feels like a gentle nudge to pause, breathe, and remember what really matters.
And honestly, it’s gorgeous. The vibrant design makes me smile before I even start reading and there’s space to reflect and make it personal too.
What makes it my favourite though? It’s made for sharing. I’ve found so much joy in passing copies along to friends and watching their faces light up. It’s not just a book - it’s a little chain reaction of joy.
We even had postcards made of the colourful spreads - perfect for popping in the post, tucking into a gift, or just keeping on the fridge as a daily reminder of joy. Whenever life feels a bit heavy, Little Book of Joy reminds me: joy is here, joy is real, and joy is worth sharing.
Clare - Little Book of Chaos

Everyone in the office knows which Lifewords resource is my favourite - in fact their probably a little tired of me talking about it all the time
Little Book of Chaos features Bible verses and real life quotes from young adults who have experienced mental health difficulties. When my thoughts are trying to tell me that there is no hope, that I am alone, unloved, a burden, this Little Book points me to Bible truths that say otherwise, that remind me that there is hope, that I am loved, that I am not alone in this fight.
I’m grateful for this Little Book of Chaos, for the words inside that voice the mental storm, the words that remind me of comfort and hope. I’m grateful for something tangible that I can hold in my pocket, that I can put in my ‘crisis box’, keep by my computer, that I can write about at work. I’m grateful that in the depth of the chaos, God never lets go of me, and he makes sure that I never let go of faith.
Maybe you've been particularly encouraged or impacted by one of our resources - we'd love to hear your story!
