Church Calendar

Lent is a Christian festival that starts on Ash Wednesday lasting for 40 days (not including Sundays) representing the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the wilderness. This is a time for Christians to reflect, fast and prepare for celebrating the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday.

For Christians, Easter is at the heart of what we believe. Jesus’ death and resurrection are the climax of history and the fulfilment of so many of God’s promises in the Bible.

On Easter Sunday we celebrate that Jesus is alive, that he is risen and that life is found in him.
