“Christmas is one of those times where people feel a myriad of emotions. Lifewords material helps to call us back to the reason why we stop, celebrate, and remember this special moment.”
Melissa, Mental Health Chaplain

Earlier this year, we launched a new campaign: Lifebringers - a fresh way of collaborating, resourcing, and sharing the Bible through real lives, real contexts, and a shared hope.
We’ve been inspired by countless stories of lives changed, and hope reaching prisoners, hospital patients, and communities. But there is still so much more to do.
Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to provide Bible resources where the need has been greatest and cost has been a barrier. Through our new Resource Lifeline Grant, we’ve offered life-giving materials to those who couldn’t otherwise afford them. With your support we can keep this lifeline going and equip Christians around the world with the Bible’s message of life.
Rev Matt from HMP Humber shares: “Christmas is a hard period for lots of people in prison, they’re away from family and friends, and they may be really struggling. Lifewords Christmas resources have been amazing. Even the lads who don’t come to chapel want the booklets, because there’s something inside that speaks to them and helps them to get through Christmas.”

“One lad received a Christmas resource and, because of what he discovered in the booklet, he not only decided to ‘sort his life out’ but realised that he had received the gift of Jesus for Christmas. After leaving prison, he went to rehab, is now part of an active church, and is doing really, really well. These resources have literally saved lives.”
Melissa, a mental health chaplain, shares: “For people in hospital this can be an exceptionally lonely and emotional time, these booklets help people remember the reason for why we celebrate and allow them to join in with celebrations around the world.”

Revd Dr. Andy Murray, Dean of Priority Communities and Vicar of Lawrence Weston and Avonmouth, says “We’ve found Lifewords booklets really effective at connecting with people exploring faith and seeking to answer some of life’s difficult questions. The books are an accessible and subtle way for people who aren’t ready to ask about faith but want to find out more.”
This year, both churches received a collection of our Little Books, along with 12 other churches in the Bristol Diocese. Revd Andy continues: “We’re really grateful for the support that we’ve received and particularly love the booklets that relate to loss, wellbeing and dealing with stress in life. Being able to put God’s words in people’s hands, to be able to answer some of those really difficult life questions has been really useful.
“We’re discovering is that people are coming back, months or weeks later, and saying, you know, I took some of those books and read them, and I keep reading them and they’ve given me some sort of hope in the midst the challenges that I face.”
This Christmas, please help us to support and resource chaplains like Matt and Melissa, and church communities like Lawrence Weston and Avonmouth as they faithfully share words of life with those who are searching for hope.
Thank you for bringing life with us. Your gift will make a real difference.
