Each Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus – God’s gift to the whole world of love, hope, and new life for all. Here at Lifewords we are passionate about resourcing Christians to share this good news – at Christmas, and all year round.
From projects in Kenya, to churches in the UK; from creating Bible resources in multiple languages, to responding to the needs of the world around us, we have story after story to tell of how people are being impacted.
Take Pastor Salano – church leader, evangelist, and football coach. He runs a football ministry for young people in Nairobi, Kenya, where amateur players, coaches, and potential future football stars can be found on and off the pitch, honing their skills and connecting with others through sport. Lifewords resources are at the heart of this ministry as Pastor Salano and his team build relationships with and mentor these young people.

Christmas is a key season when Lifewords materials equip and inspire churches to present the story of the nativity.
“Advent and Christmas bring the highest attendance in church by the general public beyond the usual congregation,” says Helen, from St Paul’s Church in Macclesfield, UK. “We seize the opportunity to let everybody leave with a booklet as a memento of their visit. At our Toddler Nativity we give out Meet the Cast to each family. Other Lifewords Christmas booklets are given out at other services.”
“We found OUTSIDE/IN to be so inclusive,” says Naomi, from Christchurch Tunbridge Wells, UK. “Everyone reading it – no matter what their background, life circumstances, or understanding of faith – is welcomed into the Christmas story. There is no Christian jargon, the text is well spaced out with beautiful images. We looked at lots of other options and are really pleased to have chosen OUTSIDE/IN.”
With printed and digital resources, craft activities, and animations for personal reflection, our Christmas range offers something for different contexts and people groups.
But it’s not just at Christmas. For 135 years, we’ve been helping churches around the world reach into their communities and share the Bible’s message where, and how, it’s needed most. These churches run food banks, toddler groups, and drop-in centres; they offer welcoming spaces, Bible studies, Sunday services and youth groups. A gift today will help us equip more and more churches in the UK and around the world to reach their local community with the good news of Jesus.
